Funeral Services
Funeral services for Gary L. Cade, 34, and Jennifer L. Cade, 6, of Rt. 2, Kellogg, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home in Newton.
The Rev. William Mc Alpine, pastor of the Laurel United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Cemetery in Des Moines.
Friends may call at the Wallace Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Cade is survived by his wife, Karen, who was injured in the storm; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark W. Cade of Des Moines; three brothers, Jerry of Columbus, Miss., Terry of Des Moines and Frank Peffers of Pleasantville; and a sister, Judy Sampson of Des Moines.
Mr. Cade, an electrician, was a member of Electricians Local No. 50 in Des Moines.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving with the Navy Seventh Fleet.
The son of Mark W. and Birdene Lawnsdall Cade, he was born Jan. 5, 1944 at Des Moines and was graduated in 1963 from Tech High School in Des Moines.
He was married to Karen Markmann Mar. 13, 1970 in Newton.
Jennifer Cade is survived by her mother, Karen; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark W. Cade of Des Moines; and a number of aunts and uncles.
She was a first grade student at Laurel Elementary School.
The daughter of Gary L. and Karen L. Markmann Cade, she was born Dec. 14, 1971 at Newton.
