Donna Terlouw, 86, of Lynnville died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Park Centre in Newton.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lynnville Friends Church. The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Memorials in Donna’s name may be left at the funeral home or the church the morning of the service.

Donna, the daughter of John and Irene (Renaud) Conn, was born on July 31, 1927, in Lynnville. She graduated from Lynnville High School. Donna was united in marriage with James Terlouw in 1946. Donna was a homemaker and sold Avon for many years. She also volunteered at the polls during the elections. Donna was an active member of Lynnville Friends Church where she taught Sunday school for 31 years. She enjoyed antiquing and visiting bed and breakfasts. She was very talented in refinishing old furniture and antiques and had a vast knowledge of the Bible.

Those left to honor Donna’s memory are her children, Dave (Cynthia) Terlouw of Benson, Minn., Dennis (Gail) Terlouw of Newton and Doug (Lori) Terlouw of Sully; grandchildren, Nicole (Carlos) Coleman, Naomi Terlouw, Noah Terlouw, Emily (Brant) Archer, Mariah Terlouw, Kyle Terlouw and Russell (Tina) Terlouw; her great-grandchildren, Laila Coleman and Avery and Corey Terlouw; and brother Roger Conn of Sully. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Terlouw; and a son, Daryl Terlouw. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News.
