Mildred van Dyke, 96, of Andover, Minn. and formerly of Baxter, died Aug. 8, 2013. She was born on Jan. 6, 1917, to Edward and Ida Mae Orr. She married Martin van Dyke Oct. 7, 1939, in Newton. She was preceded in death by son Jan. Survivors include sons, Martin (Carol) of Andover, Minn. and Roger (Renee) of Hibbing, Minn.; five grandchildren, Carrie, Daniel, Ryan, Christopher and Adrienne.

Burial will be in the Baxter cemetery. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News.
