WRIGHT CLARENCE H. ("CLANCY") October 25, 1925 - July 12, 2013 Clancy Wright died suddenly at the Col. Robert L. Howard VA Home in Pell City, AL on July 12, 2013 at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Nancy, and his parents. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Stephens (Birmingham, AL) and Dana Wright (Chicago, IL); a brother, two sisters and a brother-in-law.

Born in Iowa, Clancy served with the Army Engineers during WWII, including active duty in the European theater. Following 20 years employment with the Maytag Corporation in Newton, IA, Clancy was appointed operations head for the newly formed German-European branch of Maytag Corp. in 1964. He and his family lived in Dusseldorf, Germany for several years. Following the death of his wife in Iowa, Clancy moved to B'ham, AL in 2007. Clancy was an avid golfer and loved all things Irish! He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. An (Irish Wake) Memorial Service will be held on August 1, 2013 from 5:30-7:00 at Clancy's favorite pub, On Tap Sports Cafe at Inverness Corners, B'ham, AL.
