LYNNVILLE RECLUSE
DIES; OVER $1,000
IN CASH IS FOUND

LYNNVILLE, Oct. 31--Money to the amount of $1,119 was found in the pockets of Alexander Poots, 72-year-old Lynnville bachelor found dead last Thursday morning and in the drawer of a sewing machine in his home. Death was caused by a broken neck incurred in a fall which Coroner McMurray of Jasper county attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Poots lived alone in his farm home near Lynnville.

Melvin Meredith, a neighbor who had been husking corn near by, discovered the death. He had seen Mr. Poots about his place Wednesday morning but on Thursday he did not see him and investigated.

It is believed that Mr. Poots, who had suffered previous heart attacks had risen from his bed Thursday morning, became dizzy and fell striking his head on a nearby chair.
