Those left to honor Rocky's memory are his wife, Pat Allen Sandrock of rural Chariton; daughter, Kendra Trotter of Colfax; son, Kevin Sandrock of Knoxville; his six grandchildren, Brittany, Cody, Jaiden, Tanner, Kurtlyn, and Seth; great-granddaughter, Joplin; his brother, Gordon (Ellen) Sandrock of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; and his two sisters, Donna (Bob) Alderette of Sunset Beach, California, and Sheila (Keith) Dunkerson of Newton. Rocky was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Kurt Sandrock in 1994.

Rocky worked 32 years as a precision tool maker for Cline Tool and also for Thombert, Inc.; retiring in 2007.

Rocky was a member of the First Christian Church in Newton.

Rocky loved riding his Harley and working on motorcycles.
