Norman Glenn Huyser, 82, of Newton died on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Church, 1000 E. 12th St. S. in Newton.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.

Memorials to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation may be left at the funeral home or at the church on the morning of the service. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add Attn: Huyser Family on the envelope.

Norm is survived by his wife, Lareatha of Newton; daughter, Glenda (Keith) Renaud of Lynnville and their children, Lisa (Andy) Miller and their family, Sophie, Maggie, and Collin, Emily (Brock) Nimmo and their daughter, Hattie; his son, Scott (Deb) Huyser of Newton and their children, Lance (Heather) Ross and their family, Addison and Aliviah, and Derek Huyser; his son, Don (Sharri) Huyser and their children, Kendra (Jeremy) Flores and their daughter, Aubrey, Keshia Huyser, and Keria Huyser; his step-children, Vincent Vander Schel of Iowa City and Heidi Vander Schel of Newton; his sister, Amy Ver Steegt of Newton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty in 1985; two brothers and three sisters. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News Website.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty in 1985; two brothers and three sisters.

Norman served his country in the U. S. Navy Seabees.

Norman was a graduate of Sully High School in Sully.

Norman was co-owner of B & N Implement for 20+ years. In his retirement he enjoyed farming with son, Don and doing mechanic work with the boys. He also enjoyed Bluegrass and Old Country music, tractor pulls, and his cowboy boots.
