James Stanley Archibald, infant son of Brady and Cassandra Archibald of Newton, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013, in his father’s arms surrounded by family and friends at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

James is survived by his parents Brady James and Cassandra Kay (Boertje) Archibald of Newton; a brother, Wyatt James Archibald; grandparents, Tony Archibald, Terri Archibald, Rhonda (Darrell) De Zwarte; and Roger (Toni) Boertje; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a cousin, Braedon Archibald.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday in Asbury Cemetery in Marion County, with Pastor Andrew Schmidt officiating. At 9:30 a.m. there will be a funeral procession leaving Tharp Funeral Home in Albia.

Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m., Monday at Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday evening.

Memorials may be made made to the Mercy Foundation Birthing Center Perinatal Hospice Fund, 411 Laurel St., Suite A 110, Des Moines, Iowa 50314.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2013, in Asbury Cemetery in Marion County, with Pastor Andrew Schmidt officiating. There will be a funeral procession leaving Tharp Funeral Home in Albia at 9:30 a.m. There will be a luncheon at Celebrate church in Knoxville after the graveside service.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2013, at Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with the family present from 5-8 p.m. Monday evening.
