The daughter of Jonathan and Lois Anderson Lister, Margaret was born in Newton, March 15, 1939 and graduated from Newton High School in 1957.

She is survived by her children, Douglas Atwood and Amy Atwood of Kansas City, Mo.; siblings, Joan Lister Gooch of Newton, Jonathan Lister of Ankeny, and David Lister of Fitchburg, Wis; and her nieces and nephews.
