O. A. Newell, conductor on the Iowa Central, was fatally injured Wednesday evening while operating a train in New Sharon. The fatality was caused by a train derailment.

Oskaloosa, April 24 – Conductor Newell, who was hurt on the Iowa Central at New Sharon, yesterday, died this morning.
