Rev. R. F. Lavender returned today from a sad errand. He had been attending a funeral in Gilman, where he formerly lived. Some seven years ago Mr. Lavender married Mr. Ralph Clay and Miss Ella Runner of Gilman. They afterward moved to Beaman. A short time ago Mrs. Clay was taken sick and her parents insisted on taking her home to care for her. She developed measles and a brother, Lloyd Runner, 16 years of age, also took down with the same disease. Brother and sister died within an hour of the same time last Saturday and the funeral was held yesterday, Rev.
