Last night a young man named Albert McWhorter died between Newton and Metz, being enroute home to Dallas, W. Va., from a trip to Denver in search of a cure for consumption.

His brother-in-law, D. W. Cooper, of Washington, Pa., was with him and an effort was being made to get him home before he died. He was only 23 years of age yet leaves a wife and baby. The body was taken from the train here and the remains taken to the undertakers’ where they were today prepared for shipment and will be sent on home this evening.

There were letters in his pocket from his wife, who told how glad she was that he was getting so he could eat and how, perhaps, he might soon come home or she and baby go to him, etc. The old, old story.
