Mrs. J. L. Coughlan Dies At Marshalltown
Mrs. J. L. Coughlan, 75, formerly of Ira and Mingo, died Friday night at a Marshalltown hospital.
She had lived in Marshalltown for the past 15 years. Her husband died in 1942.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Albert Nowlan of Melbourne; two sons, Dr. Charles Coughlan of Fort Dodge and Dr. Vernon Coughlan of Washington, D. C.; five sisters, Mrs. John Jones of Northwood, Mrs. Frank Baker of Newton, Mrs. Earl Moyer of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Ethel Dodd of Tujunga, Calif. and Kenneth Parker of Gila Bend, Ariz.; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services have been tentatively set for Tuesday at Pursel-Davis funeral home at Marshalltown. Burial will be at Union Chapel cemetery near Ira.
She was a member of the Christian church at Ira and Order of Eastern Star at Baxter. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton IA, Saturday, February 13, 1960, page 2, column 4.
