Janet A. (Gidley) Coffin, 75, of Newton died on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Newton.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Skiff Hospice or to the First United Methodist Church may be left at the funeral home. Memorials also may be mailed to the funeral home, please add, Attn: Coffin Family on the envelope.

Survivors include her daughter, Kris A. Coffin McQuin of Missoula, Mont.; her two sons, Kirk L. Coffin of Sikeston, Mo., and Kent Coffin (Margo Breeden) of Newton; seven grandchildren, and her three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Myron in 2010; and brother, David L. Gidley in 2006. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News Website.
