Funeral Service: 11 A.M., Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the funeral home.
Interment: Immediately following the service on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Marie, the daughter of Earl and Hedvig (Johnson) Keeler, was born on June 21, 1919 in Albion, Iowa. She grew up in the Marshalltown area. Marie was united in marriage with Wilburn E. “Brownie” Brown on December 10, 1938 in Marshalltown. Marie was a homemaker, raising the couple’s three children. They made their home in Newton, Iowa in 1957. Marie was a member of the Women of the Moose and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and collecting stuffed animals. Marie was a loving and caring wife, mom, grandma, sister, and friend. Those left to honor Marie’s memory are her son, Ronald (Julie) Brown of Newton; two daughters, Marjorie Horstman of Newton and Shirley (Jerry) Crady of Newton; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Lowell (Martha) Keeler of Marshalltown. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Don Breed; and husband, Wilburn “Brownie” Brown.
