Memorial Service: 1:00 P.M. January 05, 2013 at the Moose Lodge in Newton.

Joe, the son of Dale and Rebecca (Hawkins) Stevens, was born on November 17, 1967 in Iowa City. He was united in marriage with Mary Petrie on April 19, 1997 in Newton. Joe worked in the factory at both Pella Corp and United Mcgill. He enjoyed working with his hands including woodworking and refurbishing lamps. Joe also collected boxes of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Those left to honor Joe’s memory are his wife, Mary of Kellogg; son, Jordan (Karen) Stevens of Deep River and Skylyss Stevens of Kellogg; his mother, Rebecca Schafer of Newton; sister, Jennifer (Bob) Bruns of Colfax; brother, Tony (Penny) Stevens of Newton; and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Stevens in April of 2012; brother, Tim Stevens on December 9, 2012; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Memorials in Joey's name may be left at the Moose Lodge.
