Charles B. Davis, 71, a lifetime Brook resident, passed away at 12:35 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at Jasper County Hospital.

Born Oct. 22, 1941, in Lake County. Mr. Davis attended Brook High School, graduating in 1959. His marriage was to Barbara A. Miller Davis on July 17, 1959, in Boswell.

Surviving with his wife are three sons, Thomas (Fay) W. Davis of Des Moines, Iowa; John C. Davis, Salt Lake City, Utah; William S. Davis, Brook; and daughter Jennifer L. McCord, Brook. Also surviving are two brothers, Bill (Pat) Denton, Easton, Conn.; George (Marsha) Davis, Kouts; and, two sisters, Dotty (Paul) Curtis, Valparaiso; Joyce Scism, Parker, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Davis was a retired Newton County Highway Superintendent and farmed for several years. He enjoyed bowling and baseball, and was a member of the Brook United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estil G. "Budge" and Virginia Beagley Davis.

Visitation will be at the Brook United Methodist Church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, with a celebration of life held at same at 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 1. Reverends John Huff and Richard E. Gerts officiating. Internment follows at Riverside Cemetery, Brook.
