Richard L. Vessels, loving Husband, Father, & Friend, passed away at 77 years old on Friday, December 7, 2012. He was born March 31, 1935 in Newton, Iowa. He lived in Fair Oaks, Ca., from 1970 - 1989. He moved to his ranch in Lodi, Ca., in 1989 and resided there until his passing.

Richard worked as a manager of a meat department for over 43 years, was a member of Bear Creek Church, he loved golf, farming, and making anything out of wood.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Bernice, and father, Elmer. Richard is survived by his wife Jolene Vessels, son Kevin Emshoff, daughters Deborah Brusco and Jennifer Phillips, brothers Ted, Tom & Roy, 6 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 15 at 2:00 P.M. at Bear Creek Church, officiated by Bill Cummins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin County.
