Memorial Service: 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the First Lutheran Church, 309 E. 3rd St. N. in Newton.

Visitation: The family will greet friends from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the funeral home.

Interment: A private family burial will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Union Chapel Cemetery in rural Ira, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Diane of Newton; children, Adam R. (Tara) Farver of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Cari L. Farver of Macedonia, John J. (Hilary) Farver of Des Moines, and Jarod W. Farver of San Diego, California; his three grandchildren, Max, Luke, and Liam Farver; four brothers, Tom (Carol) Farver of Newton, Steve (Eric Lindberg) Farver of Chicago, Jeff (Vickie) Farver of Newton, and Mark (Vicky) Farver of Newton; and his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Jean (Baker) Farver, and mother-in-law, Marian Bedinger.

Dennis was a graduate of Newton High School in 1967 and attended Iowa State University.

He was a Vice President for American Equity Life Company in West Des Moines. Dennis and his wife, Diane, owned Courtyard Floral in Newton. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Emerson Hough Chapter of the Izaak Walton League.

MEMORIALS to the Dennis Farver Memorial Fund may be left at the funeral home or at the church on the afternoon of the memorial service. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add, Attn: Farver Family on the envelope.
