Services Held for Sam Stine July 13

Samuel Stine, 80, a lifelong resident of the Monroe and Tool’s Chapel communities, was found dead at his home east of Monroe, Friday, July 13.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday July 15, at the Crumpacker Funeral Home in Monroe.
The Rev. James Poulsen, minister of the Tool’s Chapel and Monroe Methodist churches, conducted the services. Burial was in a cemetery east of Monroe.
Mr. Stine is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Patchin of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs Amanda Hart, and Mrs. John Koder of Newton and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and seven brothers.
The son of Charles and Martha Dunaway Stine, he was born January 13, 1882, east of Monroe.
Educated in Jasper County schools. Mr. Stine was employed as a farm laborer.
