Izora M. Poulson Dies This Morning; Rites Saturday

Mrs. William (Izora Mae) Poulson, 87, of 831 First St. N., a resident of Newton for the past 21 years, died this morning at her home after suffering a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Morgan-Loehr Funeral Home.

The Rev. Ralph Beebe will conduct the services. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery at Baxter.

Mrs. Poulson will lie in state at the Morgan-Loehr Funeral Home after Friday noon.

Mrs. Poulson is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Reeta Dodd, with whom she made her home; a grandchild; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Stella Jontz of Newton and a half-brother, John L. Cross of Colfax.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Livona Houck Cross; her husband; three sons; two brothers and a half-brother.

Mrs. Poulson was a member of the Congregational Church.

She was born Dec. 5, 1876 at Colfax.

She was married to William G. Poulson, Feb. 26, 1896. He died in 1937. ~ Newton Daily News, July 23, 1964
