Iowa State Democrat, Thursday, April 25, 1901
Page 1, Column 6

Frank P. Brown, a traveling man, whose people live at Dakota City, Iowa, came to the Churchill Monday afternoon, having come in on No. 3 at 2:50 p.m. He was sick and complained a good deal. Soon he had to go to a room and take to his bed. Dr. Smead was called and found the patient suffering from apoplexy. Word was sent to his friends, but he died before they reached him, at 2:45 Tuesday afternoon.

He was about 30 years old, single and a fine looking young fellow. It seems very sad indeed that he should have to be taken away while among strangers. Landlord Weaver did everything possible for him and saw that he had a nurse and the best of care.
