Dunlap Westerman, a young man only 28 years of age, died at his home three miles northwest of Newton last Saturday morning, having been sick but a few days with uremic poisoning. He leaves a wife and two children. The funeral was held Monday, services being conducted by Rev. Schweitert of the German M. E. Church. ~ Iowa State Democrat, Thursday, January 31, 1901
