Rock Creek, IowaVisitation: The family will greet friends from 5-8 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2012 at the funeral home.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the funeral home.
Interment: Immediately following the funeral service on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Rock Creek Cemetery in Rock Creek Township, Jasper County, Iowa. Following the burial, family & friends are invited to the Spaulding Inn, 1103 Main Street in Grinnell, Iowa.Those left to honor Carolyn's memory are her daughter, Kim (Todd) Brammer of Wylie, Texas; her four sons, David (Lisa) Krumm of Rock Creek, Donald (Robin) Krumm of Grinnell, Dean (Lynda) Krumm of Iowa Falls and Daniel (Sharon) Krumm of Rock Creek; eleven grandchildren, Jenny, Samantha, Alyson, Heather, Kourtney, Brandon, Madison, Michelle, David, Melissa and Kaitlee; and her great-grandson, Epic; three sisters, Loraine Morrison of Grinnell, Doris Detrick of Marshalltown and Evelyn Griener of Kerrville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Rose Marie (Selle) Pearce; husband, David Krumm on February 1, 2012; and sister, Verona Foster.
Carolyn was a graduate of Montezuma High School in Montezuma, Iowa in 1958.
Carolyn was a homemaker. She had also worked at Grinnell Regional Hospital as an aide in the OB Department and she had driven school bus for the Grinnell School District.
Carolyn was a member of the Mid Iowa Driving Association (for horses and mules), Victor Grange No. 2154 of Rock Creek Township, Iowa Search & Rescue, she also had been a Cub Scout Leader and a 4-H Leader. She enjoyed doing needlework, embroidery and quilting. She was the Poweshiek County Fair Quilting, Blast of the Past Theme Grand Champion Winner.
MEMORIALS to Skiff Hospice or to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League & Humane Society may be left at the funeral home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add, Attn: Krumm Family on the envelope.
