A private family burial will be held at Newton Union Cemetery.

Beverly was born on January 10, 1930 in Greenfield, Iowa to Arline (Woodson) and Francis Roberts. On August 30, 1946 she was united in marriage with Robert “Bob” Briese. She was employed by the Newton Public Library. Beverly is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert D. Briese; a son, Robert L. Briese of Newton; and two daughters, Sharon (Joe) Wagenknecht of Newton and Lisa Briese of Clive; her two brothers, Jim (Virginia) Roberts of Salt Lake City, UT and Jack (Darlene) Roberts of Zearing; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
