June 16, 1937 - May 25, 2012
Newton, Iowa

Visitation: The family will greet friends from 9-11:30 a.m., Monday, May 28, 2012 at the funeral home.
Funeral Service: 11:30 a.m., Monday, May 28, 2012 at the funeral home.
A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton.

Those left to honor Ruth's memory are her husband of 49+ years, Jay of Newton; her four sons, Micheal Marlowe of Monroe, Dan (Jerilyn) Marlowe of Texas, Patrick (Janet) Marlowe of Wichita, Kansas, and Alan (Michelle) Marlowe of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; her six grandchildren, Justin, Jennifer, Marissa, James, Malory, and Nathan; great-grandson, Presley; her brother, Bill (Marilyn) Conner of Muncie, Indiana; her sister, Christina Shrack of Portland, Oregon; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Eliza (Arnold) Conner; daughter, Sharon in 1975; grandson, Christopher in 1975; two brothers, Albert, and Milford; and three sisters, Dorothy, Wilma, and Mary.

Ruth was a graduate of Muncie High School in Muncie, Indiana in 1956. She Ruth was the owner and co-operator of the R-Jay Sign Service, where she was a sign painter.

Ruth was a member of the Newton Baptist Temple, where she was the church organist, and her church and church family were very important to her. Her family was very important to her, she enjoyed sign painting, bowling, and music.

Memorials to the Newton Baptist Temple may be left at the funeral home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add; ATTN: Marlowe Family on the envelope.
