Visitation: The family will greet friends with a coffee time from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the funeral home.
As per Betty’s request, she has been cremated and no services are scheduled.

Those left to honor Betty's memory are her daughters, Debbie Neff of Grinnell, and Patty Morton of Newton; granddaughter, Courtney (Scott) Anderson of West Des Moines; her great-grandson, Brix Anderson of West Des Moines; step grandchildren, Kerry (Trudy) Neff of Des Moines, and Katie (Adam) Offerman of Des Moines; her sister, Peggie Miller of Norwalk; her half brother, Ray Overturf of Greeneville, Tennessee; many special nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Overturf; mother, Edna Britton; step father, Arbrael Davis; husband, Frank F. “Red” Reynolds in 2011; daughter, Edna Kay.

Through the years you heard Betty’s familiar southern voice when she worked at Snook Inn, Jupiter, and K-Mart, all in Newton. She had also worked at Diamond Crystal in Mitchellville.

Betty loved her family and friends. She especially enjoyed the yearly neighborhood get-togethers. Food, friends, a little card playing and lots of laughs was a perfect day for Betty. Shopping and going to the Iowa State Fair was another great day for her. Grandma’s days were always made special by granddaughter, Courtney and her great-grandson, Brix. Betty truly cherished every minute with all her family.
