Visitation: The family will greet friends from 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the funeral home.
Funeral Service: 10 A.M., Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the funeral home.
Interment: Immediately following the funeral service on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Palo Alto Cemetery in rural Newton.

Following the burial a casual celebration of life will be held in the West shelter at the Maytag Park in Newton.

Those left to honor Ken's memory are his wife, Nadine of Newton; 5 children, Pam (Steve) Iano of Indianola, Craig Schwartz of Reasnor, Nancy Ehrhart of Santon Valley, AZ, David (Joan) Schwartz of Waterville, and Dennis (Sheryl) Schwartz of Colfax; his 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; his brother, Keith (Marilyn) Schwartz of Reasnor, and sister, Verle Paul of Phoenix, Arizona; and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Clara Schwartz; step-mother, Myrtle Schwartz; and brother-in-law, Mac Paul.

Ken graduated from Newton High School in 1947 and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of the Metz Church.
