Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 02, 2012 at the funeral home
Interment: There will be a lunch following the funeral service. Following the lunch burial will be Friday, March 02, 2012 at Searsboro Community Cemetery in Searsboro, Iowa.

Those left to honor Maxine's memory are her daughter, Carolyn (Al) Flowers of Toledo; 8 grandchildren; her 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Alberta Ritter of Des Moines; and her 2 nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Henderson and Frances (Trisler) Shoemaker; step-father, Malbern Shoemaker; husband, Eldon McGinn in 1998; and her son, Gary McGinn in 2009.

Maxine worked for 20 years at Hy-Vee in the meat department. After that she worked at a craft store in Newton.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, VFW Auxiliary, Skiff Auxiliary, and the Newton Squares.
