Visitation: The family will greet friends from 6-8 P.M., Friday, February 10, 2012 at the funeral home.
Funeral Service: 11 A.M., Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the funeral home.
Interment: Immediately following the funeral service on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Those left to honor Louie's memory are his wife, Barbara of Newton; 5 children, Alvin (Laura) Hartgers of Newton, Randy (Kellie) Hartgers of Newton, Nancy (Rob) Roush of Baxter, Kelli (Gary) Skaggs of Newton, and Tim (Melissa) Hartgers of Newton; his 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his 2 brothers, Harry (Marlene) Hartgers of Pella and Vernon (Marge) Hartgers of Sully; and 1 sister, Anna Mae (Arvin) Van Wyk of Pella.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tunis and Cora (Olsthoorn) Hartgers; his brother, Melvin; and a grandson, Jamie Hartgers.

Louie was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.

He was a over the road truck driver for 38 years, retiring in 1998.

Memorials to the Courthouse Lighting Fund or to Skiff Hospice may be left at the funeral home. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa.
