Sandra L. Bowers, 68, died Tuesday morning, July 3, 2012, in Skiff Hospice at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Biography
Sandra L. Bowers, 68, passed away Tuesday morning, July 3, in Skiff Hospice, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral Services for Sandra will be held 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at First Christian Church in Newton. Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton, have been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials in Sandra's name are being designated.

Sandra, the daughter of Milburn F. and Marie Gene (Gochanour) Deaton, was born October 30, 1943, near Colfax. She was a high school graduate.

Sandra was united in marriage with Roy Bowers Sr. As a lifelong resident of the Jasper county area, she devoted her life to her family and friends, and was a member of First Christian Church in Newton. Sandra was a kind and warm hearted lady, and enjoyed talking to family and friends on the phone. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Roy on June 19, 2008.

Those left to honor Sandra's memory include her sons: Roy Bowers, Jr. and Todd (Rachel) Bowers, all of Newton; his four grandchildren: Ashton-Marie, Nathaniel, April and Jeani; and her many friends. ~ Pence Reese Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa.
