Lynnville - Mrs. George Sparks, 64, died at her home in Lynnville Tuesday afternoon, following a lingering illness from a malignant disease.

Funeral services are to be conducted in Lynnville Friday afternoon from the Friends church.

Mrs. Sparks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Derrick, was born Dec. 26, 1870, near Tama, Ia., and spent her early life in the vicinity. When she was six years old, she was taken into the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert English of Lynnville.

On May 30, 1898, she was united in marriage to B. T. Bouma, and to this union two childen, Robert T. of Hope, N. D., and Frank of Grinnell, were born. Her husband died in January, 1929.

Later she was married to George Sparks of Lynnville in 1930. She is survived by her husband and two sons. ~ The Newton Daily News, July 3, 1935, page 1, column 4.
