Lyle B. Bobzin

Lyle B. Bobzin, 86, of 307 W. 11th St. N., died Friday evening, May 31, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines following a stroke.

Cremation followed death.

Graveside rites will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Newton Union Cemetery.

The Rev. Jerry Brown, pastor of the First United Methodist Church will conduct services.

Reese Funeral Home is handling arrangements which have not been completed.

Memorials to the American Heart Association may be left at the funeral home.

Survivors are his wife, Marjorie; a brother Donald of Flemmington, Mo.; and a niece, Linda Kline of Beaverton, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Hazel Foster and Mary Lou Carson.

Mr. Bobzin, who had been employed at Newton Manufacturing Co. for 13 years and Railway Express Co. for 15 years, was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Brotherhood of Railway and Airline Clerks and AARP.

The son of Lewis and Sadie Edwards Bobzin, he was born July 7, 1904 in Gilman and was graduated from Kellogg Community High School.

He was married to Marjorie Holley July 3, 1924 in newton. Mr. Bobzin moved to Newton from Kellogg in 1924.
