Harold K. Burnett

Mount Pleasant - Harold K. Burnett, 71, of Mount Pleasant, a former resident of Newton, died Tuesday, Jun 16, at the University Hospital at Iowa City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.

The Rev. Charles Tweed will conduct services and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors are his wife, Lucille; three daughters, Debbie (Mrs. Mike) Burchett of Kellogg, Sue (Mrs. Jerry) Selby of Kellogg and Dee (Mrs. Mark) Townsend of Mount Pleasant; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The son of Samuel and Bessie Longwell Burnett, he was born March 5, 1916 in Fairfield.

He was married to Lucille Shelangoski in October, 1951 in Nashua

Mr. Burnett was employed at Anderson Plumbing and Heating Co. in Newton from 1951 until retiring four years ago, at which time he moved to Mount Pleasant.
