Bunker, Mary F. (Sutphin) 1923-2004

TRENTON, Mo. -- Mary F. Bunker, 80, of Trenton, Mo., formerly of Newton, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at her daughter's home in Trenton, Mo.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with Dan Hayton of Grace Church in Des Moines officiating. Burial will be at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials will be accepted in her name and may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Frank and Marie (Beason) Sutphin, she was born Nov. 18, 1923, in Tilton. On Nov. 29, 1940, she married George Bunker in Kellogg. She was an assistant manager with K-Mart for 20 years and retired in 1980. She was a member of Zoar Church prior to moving to Missouri and enjoyed embroidery, square dancing, camping and playing bingo. She lived in Newton for 43 years prior to moving to Trenton, Mo.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Vernon Sholley of Trenton, Mo.; six grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pauline Auckland of Kellogg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, two great-grandsons and a brother, Rayford Sutphin.
