Donna Diane Buehler, the daughter of Clifford Loren and Marguerite (Hollan) Sholley, was born Dec. 28, 1942 in Trenton, Mo.
Donna worked as a Certified Nursing Aide for nine years. Donna dedicated her life to her family. On Aug. 16, 1986, Donna was united in marriage with Richard Martin Buehler. Donna enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, dancing and listening to her husband play his guitar and sing.
Donna died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. She was 68 years old. Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Rose, in 2003; her nephew, George, in 2004; and her nephew, Jerry, in 2010.
Those left to honor Donna’s memory include her husband, Richard Buehler of Marion, Iowa; her son, Larry (Sherry) Carder of Des Moines, Iowa; her daughters, Teresa Shafer of Centerville, Iowa, Nedra (Rob) Mudra of Centerville, Iowa, Rose (Rodney) Duvernay of Denham Springs, La., Tina Baze of Des Moines, Iowa, Donna (Dale) Kelly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Dianna Baze of Des Moines, Iowa; her 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; her step-daughters, Elizabeth (Terry) Buehler-Sapp and Mary Buehler; her brothers, Darrell Sholley of Perry, Iowa, and Vernon (Marilyn) Sholley of Newton, Iowa; and her sister, Janice Williams of Newton, Iowa.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton. Friends may greet the family from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Newton Union Cemetery.
