Wanda Pauline Munford, 86, died of heart failure Monday, Feb. 25, at Heritage Manor Care Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Pence Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday from 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home until the time of the service.

The daughter of Louis and Myrtle {McKinney} Scheel, she was born Sept. 6, 1917, in Newton. She attended Newton High School. On April 2, 1939, she married William Munford in Story County. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and playing bingo.

Survivors include a sister, Helen Spinks of Vista, Calif., and a nephew and his wife, Vee and Rachael Spinks of Bowling Green, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
