Oldsmar, Fla. - Mauruce O. Messenger, 81, of Oldsmar, Fla., died Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Mease Dunedin Hospital.
Curlew Hills Funeral Home in Palm Harbor, Fla., handled the arrangements.
He was born in Newton and moved to Oldsmar, Fla., from Jacksonville in 1981. He retired as a sales representative for heavy machinery and served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church at Countryside, Clearwater.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine M.; two sons, David O. of Germantown, Tenn., and Scott K. of Torrenham, Ontario; a daughter, Constance Kay Hotard of Norwalk, Conn.; a brother Cyril J. of Ponte Vedra; two sisters, Helen Van Dyke and Charlotte Smith, both of Newton; amd six grandchildren.
