COLFAX -- Funeral services for Milford Earl Meisel, 59, of Colfax were held Sunday afternoon, Nov. 6, at the Colfax-Community High School.
The Rev. Tom Mabe, pastor of the Colfax First Baptist Church, conducted services. Burial was in the Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.
Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society may be left at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
He died Friday morning at the Des Moines General Hospital.
Survivors are his wife, Neoma; four daughters, Deborah Jo (Mrs. Gary) Lovett of Chinco, Calif., Darla Jane (Mrs. Dan) Edward of Altoona; Deanna Jill (Mrs. John) Borts of Colfax and Dannette Jan (Mrs. Eric) Farhney of Colfax; and a brother, Carl of Indianola.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Meisel had been employed by the Colfax-Mingo Community Schools as bus supervisor and had worked in the maintenance department.
The son of Le Roy and Hazel Lester Meisel, he was born May 27, 1929 in Warren County.
He was married to Neoma Churchill in Story County. ~ The Newton Daily News, November 7, 1988
