Harold L. Brandt, 86, of Ankeny died on Wednesday, June 08, 2011.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Ankeny. The family will greet friends from 9 a.m., Saturday until the time of service at the church. Burial will be 1 p.m., Saturday at the Hubbard Cemetery in Hubbard.
Memorials to the Cornerstone Baptist Church may be left at the church on the morning of the service or sent to the Wallace Family
Funeral Home, 1115 E. 19th St. N., Newton, IA 50208, Attn: Brandt Family.
Survivors include his two sons, Larry (Polly) Brandt of Waukee and Gary (Becca) Brandt of Grimes; his step- son, Keith (Helen) Thorpe of Newton; his step- daughter, Kay (John) Krueger of El Cajon, California; ten grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Junace in 1996; and his brother and sisters.

Harold L. Brandt was born April 20, 1925.
Harold served his country in the U. S. Navy during WW II.
Harold graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa with a degree in Industrial Engineering.
Harold was an engineer for many years at the Continental Can International Corp., retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Ankeny and of the Boline-Manfredi VFW Post 9662 in Ankeny. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.
