Former Newton resident Donald Gene O’Leary passed away at his home in Broomfield, Colo., on June 6, 2011, of lung disease.
The only son of Virgil and Louise O’Leary, he was born on July 11, 1933. He was a graduate of Newton Senior High School, Class of 1951.
His wife, Katherine Oliphant O’Leary survives him, along with four children, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and his little dog, Andy. A life celebration took place on June 10 at The Stratford at Flatirons in Broomfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
