Minnie A. Hammond, 95, of Newton died on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Nelson Manor Nursing Home in Newton.
A funeral service was at 2 p.m. today at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.
Burial was at Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.
Memorials to Progress Industries may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Deloris (Al) Jensen of Newton; her two sons, Michael Driskell of Newton and Paul Driskell of Newton; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, George T. Driskell; second husband, John Hammond; daughter-in-law, Loretta Jean Driskell; a grandson; three brothers; and two sisters.

Minnie A. Blakeley was born April 21, 1916 to Humphrey V. and Nora May (McClenathan) Blakeley. Minnie was a housekeeper at the Terrace Inn for 10 years, retiring in 1981. Minnie was a member of a non-traditional, non-denominational Christian fellowship organization since 1932. Minnie loved flowers. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.
