Mrs. B. G. Sewell Taken by Death In Des Moines

Funeral Services Will Be Held Today In Colfax

Mrs. Bert Sewell, 78, died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her son Milo Sewell, 3401 Wright St., Des Moines, where she was taken three weeks ago when her health failed to the extent she was unable to be left alone at her home here.
She had been a resident of Colfax for 25 years and since the death of her husband in November, 1932, had maintained her home here. She like her husband was interested in recording the weather and until her last illness reported weekly to the Colfax Tribune the various amounts of precipitation.
Helen Josephine Sewell was born the daughter of N. B. and Sarah Jane Williams in Southern Indiana, February 22, 1859.
She is survived by three sons, Ben F. Sewell of Yakima, Washington, Bert L. Sewell of Seattle, Washington and Milo Sewell of Des Moines, and one brother in Kansas City.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p. m. this Thursday, afternoon at the Cutter-Hartnett Chapel. Rev. R. G. Nye of the Methodist Church will officiate.
Internment will be in the family lot at the Colfax cemetery.
