Sadler, Beverly Joy – 1930–2011

Beverly Sadler, 81, of Grinnell, died on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell with Rev. Christine Tinker, Chaplain of the Mayflower Community, officiating. Pianist will be William Tinker. Casket Bearers will be Bob Christianson, Bill Dill, Ken Harms, Brian Haskel, Keith Paulson, and Roy Rupe. Interment will be at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell beginning 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The family will be present at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
Beverly was born on February 7, 1930, in Grinnell, Iowa to William and Marjory LaGrange Lacy. She was raised in Grinnell and attended Grinnell schools. Following her education she worked at the Grinnell Shoe Factory.
On August 8, 1948, she was married to John R. Sadler in Franklin, Kentucky. The couple made their home in Grinnell and she was a homemaker.
Beverly enjoyed making afghans and quilts, fishing, gardening and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, John Sadler and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ted Lacy.
