David Harrison, the son of Thomas W. and Gracie Barnwell Harrison, was born in January 5, 1948 in Oskaloosa and died Monday, May 16, 2011 at his home in Newton. There will be private services for the family on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. David was a Vietnam veteran who served in the Army and will be buried in the Veterans section at Newton Union Cemetery.
He is survived by his brother Pat of Ottumwa, Iowa, his sister Delores Treffer of Rockville, Neb., his mother of Nebraska and two sons in California. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas W. Harrison on Sept. 2, 2000.
The Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton is assisting with arrangements.
