THEODORE W. DEHART DIES IN WASHINGTON

Theodore Wiley "Dode" DeHart, former Kellogg resident, died Oct. 13 at an Enumclaw, Wash., hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. DeHart was born Jan. 4, 1876, at Fairbanks, Ind. On May 1, 1897, he married Tabitha Ellen Drake. To this union were born four children, two who have preceded him in death, a son who died in infancy and a son, Otto Ward DeHart who died in Grinnell in 1955.

Mr. and Mrs. DeHart moved to Iowa in 1909 and settled in the Kellogg area. After Mrs. DeHart's death in 1922, Mr. DeHart moved to Washington where his father and three brothers lived.

In 1950, Mr. DeHart was married to Mrs. Tina Stevens of Seattle, Wash., and formerly of Kellogg. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ray B. (Gertrude) Adair of Enumclaw, Wash., and Mrs. Charles T. (Mary) Hotchkin of Kellogg; ten grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Family services for Mr. DeHart are being held in Enumclaw with burial there also.
