Ruth M. Osborn, 91, of Newton died on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Newton Health Care Center in Newton.
Her funeral service will be 3 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorials may be left at the church at the funeral or at the funeral home.
Survivors include her three brothers, Marion Osborn of Cedar Falls, Jerrold (Kathy) Osborn of Montezuma, and Ramon (Nellie) Osborn of Newton; her two sisters, Reatha Adams of Newton, and Irene Hilleman of Marshalltown; sister-in-law, Jeanette Osborn of Cedar Rapids; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Walt, Wayne, and Oliver, and two sisters, Blanch and Doris.

Ruth daughter of Clarence and Eva (Bailey) Osborn, was born August 19, 1919.
Ruth attended Ira schools and graduated from Mingo High School in 1940. Ruth was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton.
Interment: Immediately following the service on Thursday, May 05, 2011 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marshalltown.
