Robin Ann Warren, 57, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011.
Robin was born June 6, 1953, in Kansas City to Arthur Robertson and Phyllis Shannon. A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at Brooks Funeral Home, located at 7975 University Blvd. in Clive, Iowa.
Left to cherish Robin’s memories are her children, Jessica Peltzer, Allyson Warren, Jonathan Warren and Christopher Warren; her dog, Sofia; and her six grandchildren. Robin was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Robertson, and is survived by her mother, Phyllis Shannon; two sisters; and many friends.
Robin spent her childhood years in Davenport, Iowa, and went on to study home-economics at the University of Iowa. She taught at May Goodrell Middle School where she dedicated her time to teaching kids the craft of cooking and sewing. In her late years she worked at Dahl’s in Beaverdale, Iowa.
Robin was an amazing woman who loved to cook, bake, entertain and spend time with her family and friends. She had a zest for life and a contagious laugh no one will ever forget. Robin Ann Warren will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Robin’s name to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
