Mrs. William Klopping Passes
Away After Illness of Two
Weeks With Influenza
------
Mrs. William E. Klopping, a well known young woman who lived nine miles north of Newton, died this morning at 4:30 o'clock after an illness of two weeks suffering from influenza and complications.

Mrs. Klopping was prominent in church circles and other interests in the community. Prior to her marriage she attended school at Penn college and while there enjoyed the friendship of all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance.

Most of her life has been spent in and around Amboy and to many she will be known as Orpha Osborne, daughter of Henry Osborne.

She leaves her husband and two little daughters, Ave Mae, age five years and Wanda Louise, age three years. She is also survived by her father, Henry Osborne and one brother, Orville.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon. There will be services at 1 o'clock at the home and at 2 o'clock at the Center church. Rev. Otis Mendenhall will conduct the services.

KLOPPING'S OBITUARY

Orpha Osborne Klopping, daughter of Henry and Rhoda Osborne, was born near Rushville on October 9, 1890 and departed this life February 26, 1924, at her home near Newton, Iowa, after a short illness, at the age of 33 years four months and 17 days.

She was married to Will Klopping May 10th, 1917. To this union were born two little girls, who with their father remain to mourn their loss. Besides these there remain her father, Henry Osborne, one brother, Orville Osborne, her mother and one brother having preceded her in death and a lot of relatives and friends to whom she had endeared herself. Orpha was conveiled early in life and had been a life long member of the Friend Church having a consistent Christian life.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon February 28 at 2 o'clock at the Center Friends church with Rev. Moses Mendenhall, a former pastor of the deceased in charge. He was assisted by Rev. Moon.

Rev. Moon, Bert Wilson, Mrs. Henry Creshatt and Mrs. Ralph Moore sang "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and "Shall We Meet Beyond the River."

Pall bearers were Jay Hammer, Robert Morris, John Shill, Vernon Klopping, Victor Klopping and Walter Klopping.

The body was laid to rest in the Center church cemetery. Premature baby born 24, Feb 1924, both buried 28 Feb 1924
