Lawrance Gene Trumbo, 52, of Monroe, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at the VA Hospital in Des Moines.
Lawrance was born Feb. 20, 1959. He was retired from the U.S. Army as well as the U.S. Postal System. Lawrance was a member of the Carlisle VFW and American Legion. He lived and attended church in Monroe and recently moved to Carlisle.
Lawrance is survived by his father, Gene Trumbo of Carlisle; son Grady Trumbo; daughter Kayla Trumbo; and his sisters, Juanita White, Jody Kelley and Debbie Willis. Lawrence was cremated as to his wishes, and a military memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa. Friends and family are invited to attend.
